She chooses Matthew McConaughey’s character, Ben Barry, as her guinea pig. Coincidentally, Ben makes a bet with his coworkers that he can make any woman fall in love with him in just 10 days.

The movie, released in February 2003, was a huge success, earning over $177 million at the box office. It also featured talented actors like Annie Parisse, Thomas Lennon, and Bebe Neuwirth.
According to Kate Hudson, filming “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” was a unique experience that harked back to the old-school Hollywood process. She and Matthew McConaughey spent four months together shooting the film and later reunited for another rom-com, “Fool’s Gold,” which took six months to shoot. Hudson mentioned that such long shoots are rare these days, except for big-budget movies like Marvel films.
During an interview, Hudson shared her thoughts on a potential sequel to the film. She wondered how their characters, Andie and Ben, would be now if they were still together. She imagined that they might have gotten married and had kids but could be feeling miserable. Andie, being ambitious, would probably be running something important.
