A country show and midsummer fiesta have been cancelled due to bad weather conditions.
The annual Stroud Show was scheduled to take place on Saturday at Stratford Park in Gloucestershire.
Cheltenham's Midsummer Fiesta has also been called off because of the forecast.
Organisers said they had to take the difficult decisions because of fears strong wind and thunder storms.
The Stroud Show was due to include horticulture and an international brick throwing competition.
Organisers said: "With great sadness we have had to cancel this years show because of the awful weather."
They added they will be in touch with stall holders and performers "as soon as they can".
Cheltenham Borough Council, which organises the event in the town said it was too late to reschedule this year's fiesta.
Councillor Flo Clucas said: 'We are so disappointed to have to cancel this year's fiesta.
"However we have to make the right decision in light of the weather forecast and the disruption any bad weather could bring to the event. We must always put safety first."
The fiesta team will be issuing refunds to stall holders.
