Thanks for joining us this evening as Madrid end their three game US tour with a win thanks to goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio.
No added time as the whistle sounds…. Impressive display from Real Madrid as they end their US tour in style with a win and solid display. Juve were disappointing and have a fortnight to get things right before the start of the 2022-23 Serie A season.
Final five minutes of normal time and Real Madrid are good value for their two goal lead. The Spanish side have dominated from the early stages and Juve have been discreet this evening with two weeks left before both teams embark on their domestic campaigns.
First card of the night for Asensio as he clips Cuadrado
Marley Aké limps from the pitch and that injury does not look good. Another possible pre-season blow for Juve after losing new signing Paul Pogba for an indefinite period of time with a knee problem.
Impressive attendance for a pre-season friendly game !
Final 15' of action in Los Angeles. Courtois has yet to be really tested by the Serie A giants tonight who have been somewhat underwhelming. The Bonucci free kick in the first half was as close as the Turin based side got to hitting the target.
Asensio from the bench to make it 2-0 for Real Madrid
Vallejo with the assist and Asensio on hand to steer the ball home from close range
Gol…..Asensio makes it 2-0 for Real Madrid
9 changes for Madrid… Only Rudiger and Courtois stay on….
Vallejo, Tchouaméni, Nacho, Ceballos, Asensio, Hazard , Rodrygo, Lucas & Camavinga all enter the fray
Great strike from Benzema and fine stop from Perin as the ball was destined for the corner… the French striker looks to be picking up where he left off last season and is showing no sign of slowing down.
Eight Real Madrid subs poised to make an entrance….
Long range effort from Toni Kroos as we hit the 60 minute mark. High and well over the Juve bar from the German midfielder.
The tempo of the game has dropped slightly (compared to the first 45') as the hot LA evening and almost 65% humidity start to take their toll.
It's been a reasonably quiet game for the referee this evening. There was little debate over the Real Madrid penalty and the only moment of doubt for the match official was a possible spot kick for Juve after Miltao caught Di Maria in the first half but his decision to not award was indeed the correct one.
Real Madrid too have roughly 9-10 men warming up too just behind the Juve goal.
The Benzema goal… power and precision !
Juve have 7/8 players warming up on the sideline with Allegri anxious to look at other candidates as the game evolves.
RM: Rudiger on for Militao
Juve: Cuadrado on for Di Maria
Off we go… Juve start the second half.
The second half will no doubt lead to a raft of changes with both managers keen to give playing time to fringe players as the new season looms.
The "Play Proud" initiative (represented by the players numbers tonight), which will support the Common Goal project, represents values such as inclusion and respect for differences in the world of football.
Carlo Ancelotti will be the happier of the managers at the break as his team have showed more enterprise and cutting threat during the first half. Serbian striker Vlahovich has been quiet for Juve.
The whistle sounds and the teams head to the dressing rooms for a break with a Karim Benzema penalty kick the differnce between the sides
2 minutes of time have been added by the fourth official
We're into the final five minutes of the half and Madrid have had the upper edge on the contest. Bonucci with Juve's best chance of the game hitting the bar from a fine freekick. The evergreen Benzema is a real handful for the Juve backline with the French striker scoring the only goal of the game.
Juve still probing in looking for a way through but Real Madrid are looking solid in the centre of the park with Casemiro's presence key for Ancelotti's side.
The game is back underway and repeats show that the match official was correct in the decision no to award Juve a spot kick.
Juve now appeal for a penalty as Di Maria goes down in the box after being clipped by Militao. The match official is unimpressed and orders the players off for a drinks break.

The teams take to the pitch… Juve in their classic black and white stripes with Madrid in their eye catching violet away kit….
Real Madrid fans are happy to see Dani Carvajal back in action tonight after the Spanish international was sidelined in the previous games. Many analysts feel that tonight's team will be identical to that who step out at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki for the UEFA Super Cup.
