LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL — The Ohio Men’s Golf team traveled to Disney Palm’s Course to play in the three day Mickey Mouse Intercollegiate. The Bobcats competed in three rounds, coming out with a final score of 899 (+35) and placing 14th overall. In Ohio’s first round (2/19), the team shot a 294 followed by a 304 in the second round (2/20), and finished with a 301 in the third and final round (2/21). They were amidst tough competition in Florida, facing off against: Wofford College, IUPUI, Queens University of Charlotte, Belmont, Bellarmine, Western Carolina, Austin Peay State, Morehead State, St. Thomas, Purdue Fort Wayne, UT Martin, Florida A&M, Indianapolis, Eastern Kentucky, and Prairie View.
Individually, Will Kates (Centennial, Colorado), finished first for the Bobcats with a final score of 217 (+1), putting him in 9th place overall. Next on the leader board was Carson Trafford (Dublin, Ohio) shooting a 222 (+6) putting him in 34th place. Matt Daulton (Lebanon, Ohio) finished 55th overall with a score of 227 (+11), followed by Jack Neville (Terrace Park, Ohio) shooting a final score of 235 (+19) in 78th. Finishing out for the Bobcats was Sam Hogan (Burlington, Canada) in 83rd, shooting 239 (+23).
Overall, Wofford College took first place in the tournament after leading all three days of competitions. Wofford shot a combined 852 (-12), shooting 285 in round 1, 283 in round 2, and finishing out the third round with a 284.
Individually, Matthew Larkin from Wofford College came in first place at the Mickey Mouse Intercollegiate shooting a 205 (-11). Harry Jones from Wofford College was close behind with a final score of 208 (-8); both aiding their team to victory.

The Ohio men’s golf team will return to North Carolina to play in the Ross Collegiate Classic. The tournament will be held in Southern Pines, NC and will stretch for two days. Round one tee-off will be on March 13th.
