ORGANISERS of the annual Indiependence Music and Arts Festival have unveiled a raft of additional acts set to take to the stages of the Mitchelstown event over the August bank-holiday weekend.
he festival, which fell foul of the Covid pandemic for two years, returned in some style last year with headline performances by Fatboy Slim, Bastille and Rudimental.
This year edition had already promised to eclipse that, with event organisers lining up headline acts Two Door Cinema Club, The Coronas and Anne-Marie.
Other big names previously unveiled for ‘Indie 23’ include Inhaler, Jax Jones, Raye, Belters Only, and Cian Ducrot
This week they announced that other acts heading on the M8 to the Rebel County’s ‘finest festival will include Jenny Greene, We Are Scientists, Erica Cody, All Tvvins, Caity baser, Joesef and special guests Editors.
The Indie 23 Dance Tent will also be buzzing across the weekend with a stellar line-up of DJ’s including Paul Woolford, Arielle Free, Saffron Stone, Nathan Dawe, John Gibbons, Emma Power, George Feely, Ricky Chong, Boots & Kats, Shelly Gray and Adelphi Music Factory.
With all tier one tickets for the festival sold-out, music fans seeking to savour the unique ‘Indie’ atmosphere have been advised to get their skates on.
“A limited number of VIP upgrade tickets and general admission weekend and day tickets are on sale at www.ticketmaster.ie,” said a festival spokesperson.
The weekend tickets are prices at €159 and the day tickets at €64.50.
“A limited number of weekend camping tickets priced at €179 or €209 with Arena VIP upgrade are also still available, but demand is high so people are advised not to delay booking them,” said the spokesperson.
