MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — City Building Director Braden Thomas has ordered all 80 units of the Mayfield Gardens Apartments evacuated after an engineer working for the owner determined the buildings to be unsafe.
Thomas issued a letter Friday (July 8) informing the owners, LHU Mayfield Gardens LP, believed to be based in New Jersey, that the two, four-story buildings had been condemned. On July 7, the South Euclid engineering firm I.A.
